Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate engineering operations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
• Drive preventive and corrective maintenance to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Ensure safe and compliant operation of boilers, electrical systems, and factory machinery.
• Plan and deliver engineering projects within approved budgets and timelines.
• Monitor utilities, maintenance costs, and spare parts to optimize resource utilization.
• Promote a strong safety culture while working closely with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• NDT / HNDE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Minimum Requirement) or BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university (Preferred)
• 1–3 years’ experience in manufacturing or plantation factory environments.
• Experience in tea factory engineering operations will be an added advantage
• Exposure to PLC systems and automation preferred
• Membership or associate membership in a recognized professional engineering body
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy
• Fluency in Sinhala, English, Tamil is preferred for effective estate-level coordination
