About the Role:
We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to help us engage with our audiences across all our social channels. You will be responsible for drafting content calendars, copywriting, creating social assets, and community management across platforms. Reporting to the senior management, you’ll also support in the areas of web, blog, and email copywriting. This role will primarily focus on social media, but you’ll be ready to support other areas of communications and branding to support digital marketing strategies. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to craft a clean, thoughtful copy within the frameworks of a distinct brand voice. You will be expected to research trending topics to create valuable and original content. In addition, you will play an integral part in developing the company narrative - an exciting story of how our services help tradespeople, businesses, consumers to build, fix, improve and create easily by advising, the best tools for the job and provide them via local partners or global shippers...
Role responsibilities:
· Responsible for forming social media strategies across multiple platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, and potentially more
· Staying up to date with the latest developments in the social media landscape, the power tools industry & the automotive industry
· Planning of pro-active and reactive messaging, both through posting activities and community management
· Deliver and execute social campaigns aligned to global communication and marketing activities
· Developing social media strategies – including campaign objectives, measurements of success, and recommended creative outputs
· Copywriting as required (blogs, social, website copy)
· Reporting on campaign performance (both interim and end of the campaign) and identifying insights for future campaigns.
· Ability to take ownership of projects and meet deadlines as required
· Delivery of ad campaigns, and reporting on performance would be an asset, but not required.
Role requirements:
· You’ll be a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running
· You’ll have experience reviewing and presenting social media analytics and results reports
· You’ll be a pro with social media planning, scheduling, and community management
· Experience with Facebook Ads Manager and Business Manager would be considered an asset
· You’ll have a marketing background, with the ability to understand campaign management, Copywrite with attention to detail, and CRM management
· Knowledge of the power tools and automotive industry would be an asset, but not required
Required experience:
· 3-4 years experience in social media and/or marketing-related roles
· University Degree or Certificate in the areas of Commerce, Marketing, social media, and/or PR
