Job Description Fulfilment Specialist (Part-time)

Jumpbooks.lk is the #1 rated online bookstore in Sri Lanka. We are on a mission to become the largest online bookstore in the country. We provide access to some of the bestselling books in the world.

Responsibilities of this role

• Adding and creating waybills for daily orders
• Packing and dispatching products on time
• Coordinating with pickup and delivery agents
• Coordinating with customers on store pickups
• Stocktaking products and packing materials
• Unpacking and stocktaking monthly shipments
• Any other work that is assigned by the company as see fit

About you

You are fast - We are known for our fast delivery, and a lot has to do with shipping products on time.

You care for books - We take extra precautions to ensure that the books are safely packed and handed to our delivery agents.

You are a good communicator - You must contact customers and delivery agents daily. You should be able to communicate patiently and clearly with them.

You are a hard worker - There are days when you must dispatch 200+ orders. It takes a lot of time and patience. You should be ready to do that.

You love reading - If people stopped reading, we don’t have a business. That’s why we hire only people who are passionate and die-hard readers. You should love reading.

This is a long-term position. Based on your performance, you will receive raises and bonuses.

Job type

This is a part-time position. However, you should be able to work from 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. all weekdays. Several days per month, you must perform the whole day when we receive shipments.

Note - This will be a mostly solitary job; you'll be the only one managing the warehouse most days.

Place of work

Our warehouse is based in Maharagama, Colombo. You should be able to commute reliably to Maharagama daily.
