POSITION PURPOSE

As the Management Trainee / Student Counsellor, you serve as the initial point of contact for students, engaging with them throughout every phase of their journey, from the initial communication to their departure for the destination country. Throughout this comprehensive process, you assume various roles, with a primary focus on ensuring the customer (student) experiences unparalleled satisfaction, receiving a world-class, 5-star grade service with no room for complaints.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide personalized counseling to students, helping them navigate educational pathways and make informed decisions about their academic journey.
  • Assist students with the college or university admissions process, offering guidance on application procedures, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Aid students in preparing necessary documentation, such as the application form, resume, statement of purpose, and recommendation letters.
  • Stay informed about various educational programs, scholarships, and opportunities to guide students towards suitable academic paths.
  • Handling the submission of applications to institutions, acquiring offers, and facilitating enrollments.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with partner institutions, country managers, and local/overseas stakeholders.
  • Pursuing leads and inquiries to maximize the number of submitted and finalized applications.
  • Securing data precision, overseeing data integration across systems, and maintaining the utmost confidentiality of student information.
  • Crafting, reviewing, and completing various documents, including personal statements, reports, presentation packs, and other documents as per business requirements.
  • Coordinating workshops, promotional events, webinars, meetings, and other related activities with partner institutions, representatives, students, and stakeholders.
  • Foster meaningful connections with our audience by actively participating in and responding to social media conversations, comments, and messages.
  • General administration tasks relating to the role.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTATION

  • Ensuring top-notch customer service and treating each student with the highest respect and honor.
  • Addressing student inquiries through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, live chat, and email promptly and professionally.
  • Following up on student inquiries, requests, or complaints and offering necessary information and assistance as needed.

WHOM WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong educational background with a completed bachelor's degree. Freshers are also welcome.
  • Highly focused, detail-oriented, proactive and collaborative team player.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service for a world-class customer experience.
  • Proficient in English and Sinhala languages with excellent communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the needs, issues, and pain-points of students.
  • Innovative thinker with a proactive mindset, approaching tasks as challenges rather than problems.

GOOD TO HAVE (NOT MANDATORY)

  • Explored international destinations, gained a global perspective.
  • Knowledgeable about overseas education and popular study destinations.
  • Proficient in one or more additional languages.
  • Familiarity with immigration systems and visa pathways.
