The International BPS (Professional Firms) team brings the synergies of digital Business Process Services to international professional firms. We help professional firms outside Malaysia transform the scalability of their professional departments by adopting the combined synergies of digital technology and a competent Malaysian professional accounting team.

Your Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will use your professional knowledge and experience with financial audits, team management, cross border coordination, and service delivery to optimize operational efficiency and client experience by:

  • Working closely with your superiors to manage various aspects of the outsourced professional assignment from the international professional firm’s team, including monitoring of service delivery to ensure strong deliverables
  • Lead a portfolio of engagements as the (assignment) manager-in-charge while report accordingly on progress, matters arising and matters of concern throughout an engagement to the Manager / Director / Partner
  • Cultivating and maintaining good team working relationships with outsourcing clients
  • Staying well-informed on current technical matters related to jurisdiction of the portfolio assigned to you and your team
  • Contribute to the training and development of team members, while participate in practice development initiatives including culture building, recruiting, digital transformation, iteration of processes

The International BPS (Professional Firms) Team

Transcending the traditional concept of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), the BPS team specialises in working with our international professional firm clients to explore feasible use of new technologies that empower professional firms to improve operating effectiveness through process improvements, shared services, and outsourcing while deliver business performance and growth.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Relevant professional qualification such as MIA, ACCA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, etc. (both fully qualified and semi qualified welcomed to apply)
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant professional financial audit experience
  • Competent command of professional English language skills
  • Demonstrate competent application of ISAs, MFRS and good working knowledge of related provisions from the Companies Act
  • For candidates with only Malaysian experience and professional knowledge, willingness to learn and train on rules and practices of foreign jurisdiction(s) is a must
  • Experience in carrying a portfolio of professional assignments, ability to manage team members in ramping up productivity during peak period
  • Experience in assignment planning (or assisting in such a process), budgeted hours oversight and staffing of team members including time management and quality assurance for professional assignments
  • Demonstrate confidence and maturity to work with senior engagement personnel
  • Candidates seeking a promotion from their current position e.g. Senior 3 / Supervisor are encouraged to apply

Advantageous if you also possess one or few of the following:

  • Self-driven and possess inclination towards use of technology for professional services
  • Open to learning new technical knowledge
  • Experience in coordination / management of international professional assignments
  • Prior Singaporean external audit experience / working knowledge of Singaporean accounting standards
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Possess competent working knowledge with audit software and advanced MS Word, MS Excel
  • Possess Singaporean accounting qualification e.g. ISCA, CA Singapore or equivalent recognised by ISCA
