Role Overview
Establish the practical governance operating model required for trusted master data, including ownership, stewardship, attribute authority, survivorship governance, decision forums, and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Define governance operating model, roles and decision rights.
- Facilitate Data Owner and Steward nomination/onboarding.
- Create and maintain attribute-authority and data-ownership registers.
- Define stewardship role definitions, stewardship workflow, exception categories, SLAs and escalation.
- Coordinate business glossary and critical-data-element definitions.
- Define DQ KPIs and governance reporting with DQ/BI teams.
- Ensure survivorship and matching decisions have business ownership.
- Run governance forums and track decisions/actions.
- Monitors governance KPI trends generally and reports on them fortnightly alongside source data quality trends
- Support change management and progressive business adoption.
Must-Have Experience & Skills
- 5+ years data governance/MDM governance experience.
- Strong knowledge of Data Owner/Steward operating models.
- Experience in Exception-based stewardship workflow design and configuration.
- Survivorship rule documentation and version control experience
- Attribute authority, DQ governance and decision-management experience.
- Experience in Data quality KPI framework design, integrated into existing business reporting cycles
- Strong facilitation and executive/business communication.
- Ability to turn governance principles into workable operational processes
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Profisee stewardship exposure.
- Purview/catalog experience.
- Global/regional governance programme experience
