Social Media Intern

About the Role We're looking for a Social Media Intern to support our digital marketing efforts and online presence, working closely with senior marketing staff. You'll assist in implementing social media strategies to boost brand visibility, engage our audience, and contribute to our online marketing goals. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and analytics, looking to build practical, hands-on experience in digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Support

• Assist in developing and executing social media strategies aligned with marketing goals, including identifying target audiences and the right platforms for engagement

Content Creation & Management

• Help create and curate content across platforms, and support consistent scheduling and publishing in line with brand tone and guidelines

Campaign Support

• Help plan and execute social media advertising campaigns, and support monitoring and optimizing ad budgets

Analytics & Reporting

• Learn to track and analyze performance using tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Meta Ads Manager, and Meta Business Suite, and help prepare reports with insights and recommendations

Competitive Analysis

• Support monitoring of industry trends and competitor activity across social platforms

Collaboration

• Work with the marketing team and other departments, including designers and content writers, to support broader campaigns and multimedia content

Influencer & Crisis Support

• Assist in identifying and reaching out to potential influencer partners, and support managing responses to negative comments or controversies

Compliance

• Help ensure content and activities comply with legal and industry regulations, including data protection and privacy standards

All of the above is carried out under the guidance and supervision of senior marketing staff.

Skills Needed

1. Basic knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
2. Good written and verbal communication skills
3. Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools
4. Creative thinking and eagerness to learn digital marketing trends
5. Analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights
6. Basic understanding of budget management

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience or internships in social media marketing preferred
