Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will assist in executing manual and automated test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring overall software quality across web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own QA for specific modules/features, from test planning through execution and sign-off.

• Design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases covering functionality, regression, compatibility, and basic edge cases.

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (e.g. UI, API, or mobile) as part of the regression pack.

• Work closely with Developers and BAs to identify test impacts of changes, edge cases, and risk areas.

• Analyze test results, prioritize defects based on impact/severity, and ensure timely retesting and closure.

• Maintain test metrics (coverage, pass rates, defect leakage) and provide clear status updates during sprints and releases.

• Contribute to improving test frameworks, test data strategies, and environment usage.

• Use AI-assisted tools to enhance test design, generate test data, review logs, suggest automation snippets, and produce test reports more efficiently, while respecting security guidelines.

• Mentor QA Testers / Associate QA Engineers informally, sharing best practices and reviewing their test cases.

• Continuously improve skills in advanced testing techniques, automation frameworks, and product/domain expertise.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Understanding of manual testing techniques, functional and regression testing and hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and automation planning

• Experience with test case management tools like TestRail or TestLink.

• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Mantis.

• Basic knowledge of SQL for validating backend data.

• Exposure to API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.

• Awareness of testing in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

• Effective communication skills for issue reporting and test discussions.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter.

• Basic understanding of mobile app testing using tools like Appium.

• Understanding of security testing principles and secure software practices

• Previous experience leading or mentoring QA teams
