This provides valuable training and professional development opportunities for students pursuing their Chartered Accountancy qualification at the Business, Corporate, and Strategic Levels.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and process payment vouchers and accurately record financial transactions in QuickBooks.
• Maintain supporting documents, accounting records, and filing systems.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Pass journal entries and record necessary accruals and provisions.
• Maintain proper documentation to ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required information and documentation.
• Update and maintain depreciation and amortization schedules for fixed and intangible assets.
• Manage bank-related documentation and ensure banking information is updated promptly.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, suppliers, and internal management on finance-related matters.
• Prepare and submit statutory tax returns in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Review And monitor KPIs on monthly and daily.
Required Skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Familiarity with taxation and statutory compliance.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Advance Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as AAT, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CMA (completed or part-qualified) are an advantage.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
