Our client is a strategic nickel mining company, serving as a critical upstream player to secure a sustainable nickel ore supply for the global electric vehicle (EV) battery ecosystem and the stainless-steel industry. Currently, the company is focused on a nickel mining concession in North Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi, which is in the exploration and infrastructure development stage. Current priorities include land clearing, the construction of dedicated hauling roads, and the development of a strategic jetty to support future logistics and shipping.

Job Role:
The Compliance & Legal Specialist is responsible for ensuring the company’s administrative and legal foundations are strictly maintained in accordance with Indonesian regulations. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this role focuses on the execution of permit applications, the management of company licenses via government portals (such as OSS), and the meticulous review of corporate contracts. You will serve as the operational backbone of the compliance department, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively translated to keep the Chinese native management team informed of their legal standing in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Licensing & Permit Execution: Handle the end-to-end process of applying for, renewing, and monitoring company business licenses and operational permits.
- Government Portal Management: Act as the primary operator for government systems, including OSS (Online Single Submission) and other relevant ministerial portals to ensure administrative compliance.
- Contract Administration: Review, draft, and organize corporate contracts, service agreements, and legal correspondence to mitigate risk and ensure clear bilingual (Mandarin/Indonesian) terms.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Track changes in general corporate, labor, and industrial regulations, providing summaries and impact assessments to the management team.
- Document Control: Maintain an organized and secure "Legal Library" of all original company deeds, permits, and land/operational documents.
- Liaison Support: Assist in coordinating with external legal counsel or government administrative officers during the submission of routine reports or site-specific applications.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law with 3–5 years of experience in corporate legal, regulatory compliance, or licensing; experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments is a plus.
- Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and managing bilingual legal contracts and documents, with hands-on experience using government licensing systems and corporate secretarial duties.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian administrative law and corporate compliance procedures, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Professional business fluency in Mandarin and English for reporting and alignment with management directives.
