Job Role:

The Chinese Translator & Contract Specialist serves as the primary linguistic bridge for the company’s legal and operational documentation. Unlike a general business liaison, this role focuses heavily on the high-precision translation of technical contracts, construction permits, and mining site reports.

Reporting to the management team, you will ensure that Chinese native directors have a perfect understanding of Indonesian legal requirements and local contracts. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all bilingual documentation during the early-stage construction of the mining site, ensuring that no technical or legal nuance is lost in translation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document Translation: Perform written translation of complex documents from Mandarin to Indonesian (and vice versa), including construction contracts, technical specifications for hauling roads and jetties, and mining site exploration reports.
• Contract Support: Assist the legal team in drafting and reviewing bilingual contracts, ensuring that directives from Chinese management are accurately reflected in the Indonesian legal versions.
• Archive Management: Maintain a systematic digital and physical archive of all bilingual contracts and translated legal documents to ensure ease of retrieval during audits or site inspections.
• Site Liaison: Provide translation support for technical field reports from the mining site to ensure head office directors are updated on early-stage infrastructure progress.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Literature, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a professional translator or contract administrator (Chinese–Indonesian, Chinese–English, and vice versa).
• Near-native fluency in Mandarin (HSK 5/6 or equivalent) and professional English (written and spoken).
• Expertise in accurate written translation and strong attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of contract structures, legal terminology, and corporate risk.
• Proactive, communicative, patient, and able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
