Job Summary

The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations to support business growth, profitability, and compliance. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury, and investment planning, with strong involvement in capital-intensive projects such as network expansion, infrastructure rollout, and spectrum-related investments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth.
• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team in business decision-making.
• Provide financial insights on telecom industry trends, including ARPU, CAPEX, and network investments.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze key telecom metrics such as EBITDA, cost per BTS, subscriber growth, and ROI on infrastructure.

3. Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Management

• Oversee financial planning for large-scale telecom projects (e.g., fiber optic, towers, spectrum).
• Evaluate investment feasibility, ROI, IRR, and payback period.
• Ensure efficient allocation of capital across projects.

4. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards (IFRS/PSAK).
• Manage audits (internal & external) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee compliance with telecom regulatory bodies and financial authorities.

5. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital effectively.
• Oversee banking relationships, funding strategies, and debt management.
• Optimize capital structure and financing options.

6. Taxation & Risk Management

• Ensure tax efficiency and compliance with local tax regulations.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee internal control systems and financial governance.

7. Team Leadership

• Lead, develop, and manage the finance team (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A).
• Establish KPIs and drive high-performance culture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and commercial teams.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or Finance) is preferred.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) is highly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong experience in telecommunication, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries.
• Proven track record in handling large-scale CAPEX and financial strategy.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation.
• Familiar with telecom business models (subscription, prepaid/postpaid, leasing, etc.).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong understanding of tax, audit, and regulatory frameworks.
