Role Overview

The Finacle Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of banking transformation projects centered on the Infosys Finacle core banking solution. You will act as the bridge between technical teams, functional consultants, and executive stakeholders to ensure that migrations, upgrades, or module implementations are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with the bank’s digital transformation roadmap.
• Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Finacle projects, including requirement gathering, gap analysis, customization, testing (UAT/SIT), and Go-Live.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Infosys (vendor) and internal business heads (Retail, Corporate, Treasury) to manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Lead complex data migration strategies from legacy systems to Finacle and ensure seamless integration with peripheral systems (Swift, ATM, Mobile Banking, CRM).
• Proactively identify project risks (e.g., regulatory compliance, data integrity, or resource bottlenecks) and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage a cross-functional team of functional analysts, technical developers, and QA engineers.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Finacle Core Banking architecture (preferably version 10.x or 11.x) and its various modules (Core, CRM, Wealth, Treasury).
• Proficiency in Jira, Microsoft Project, or Confluence for tracking milestones and documentation.
• Strong grasp of banking processes such as General Ledger, Trade Finance, Payments, and Loans.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. PMP or Prince2 certification is highly preferred.

Soft Skills

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations, especially during critical "Cut-over" phases.
• Skilled at translating complex technical challenges into business language for the C-suite.
• Proven ability to influence and lead teams without direct authority in a matrix environment.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Project Management.
• At least 5 years specifically leading Finacle implementation or upgrade projects.
• Experience with Finacle Integrator (FI) and Finacle Scripting is a major plus.
