We’re Hiring: SVP, Product & Engineering

PAYable, Sri Lanka’s leading payment technology company serving over 40,000 merchants across card-present, card-not-present, mPOS, and digital channels, is looking for an SVP of Product & Engineering. This is a rare opportunity to lead both product vision and engineering execution under a single accountable leader.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the full product lifecycle — from vision and roadmap to shipped software and commercial outcomes.
• Translate business goals into actionable product plans that drive customer impact, revenue growth, and scale.
• Lead engineering, architecture, QA, and platform teams, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and compliance.
• Drive execution with end-to-end accountability, eliminating silos and enabling CEO-level focus on strategy.
• Build and inspire a high-performance, unified product organization, hiring, coaching, and retaining top talent.

Success Looks Like:

• Predictable roadmap delivery with on-time product releases.
• Measurable reduction in merchant churn and improved retention.
• Faster onboarding and 99.9%+ terminal availability across all merchant segments.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 12+ years in product-led organizations, with ownership of both product and engineering.
• Deep experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, or regulated technology platforms.
• Strong business judgment with technical credibility — you lead engineers, not just manage them.
• Proven ability to scale teams, remove execution bottlenecks, and ship reliably.
• Comfortable in regulated environments, with accountability for compliance and security.
• Experience with payments infrastructure (acquiring, mPOS, SoftPOS, IPG, etc.) is a plus.

This Role Is Not:

• Head of IT or infrastructure manager
• Ticket manager or sprint coordinator
• Siloed engineering leader without product ownership
