About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Leader who can operate at the intersection of product vision and engineering execution, owning both under a single accountable role to help build a payments platform.

The SVP of Product & Engineering will be responsible for the full lifecycle of product delivery, from defining business intent to delivering scalable, high-quality software that drives measurable commercial outcomes. This role will lead product, engineering, platform, and QA functions, reporting directly to the CEO.

Product Leadership

• Own product vision, roadmap, and prioritization across all merchant segments
• Translate commercial goals into executable product plans
• Drive decisions anchored in customer impact, revenue growth, and scale
• Define and track product KPIs: onboarding speed, churn, GMV growth

Engineering & Platform

• Lead engineering, architecture, QA, and platform teams end-to-end
• Own platform scalability, security, reliability, and regulatory compliance
• Make pragmatic, outcome-driven technology decisions
• Maintain fleet uptime and terminal platform stability at scale

Execution & Delivery

• Own delivery timelines with full accountability across the product lifecycle
• Break down cross-functional silos and drive a strong ownership culture
• Reduce CEO dependency on day-to-day execution decisions
• Establish clear ownership with no responsibility gaps

People & Organization

• Build and lead a unified, high-performance product organization
• Hire, coach, and retain strong technical and product leaders
• Set performance standards and drive continuous improvement
• Foster a culture of accountability, speed, and quality

• Predictable roadmap delivery: Consistent, on-time product releases with no surprise slippage
• Improved merchant retention: Measurable improvement in retention across all merchant segments
• Onboarding speed & fleet uptime: Faster time-to-active for new merchants; 99.9%+ terminal availability

Requirements & Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 12+ years in product-led organizations with proven ownership of both product and engineering
• Deep experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, or other regulated technology platforms
• Strong business judgment with genuine technical credibility, you lead engineers, not just manage them
• Demonstrated ability to scale teams, eliminate execution bottlenecks, and ship reliably
• Comfortable operating in a regulated environment with compliance and security accountability
• Experience with payments infrastructure: acquiring, mPOS, SoftPOS, IPG, or adjacent domains is a strong plus
