Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design, develop, and guide the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions that align with business objectives. The role bridges business needs and technical execution, ensuring architecture standards, best practices, and governance are followed.

Location: Colombo (Hybrid) / Type: Full-time (1-year contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Define end-to-end solution architecture, including application, data, integration, and infrastructure components.
• Create architecture artifacts such as solution diagrams, technical specifications, and design documents.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks aligned with enterprise standards.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements.
• Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and design validations.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with overall architecture strategy.
• Support estimation, planning, and roadmap development.
• Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and security standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Typically 8–12+ years of experience in software development, system design, or architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing complex enterprise solutions.
• Strong understanding of system integration patterns and distributed architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and modern application frameworks.
• Experience with architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of security architecture and best practices.
• Experience in data architecture and integration technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Domain experience in relevant industry
