Job Description:

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, SSIS, and SQL-based automation (including Auto mail). The ideal candidate should be able to design, develop, optimize, and maintain end-to-end Business Intelligence and ETL solutions, working closely with business stakeholders to convert data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development:

• Build advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI (DAX, Power Query (M), data modelling).

• Design efficient data models and implement row-level security (RLS).

• Optimize report performance, handle complex DAX calculations, and manage large datasets.

• Work with Fabric’s One Lake, Data flows Gen2, and Direct Lake connections.

Microsoft Fabric:

• Develop and manage Fabric pipelines, Dataflow, and Lake House datasets.

• Integrate data from multiple sources into Fabric using ETL/ELT approaches.

• Maintain and optimize Lakehouse/Tables/Notebooks within Fabric environment.

SQL Development:

• Write complex SQL Queries, CTE, Windows Functions, Stored Procedures, and performance-tuned scripts.

• Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading across multiple systems.

• Work with relational databases like SQL Server, Azure SQL, or equivalent.

SSIS & ETL:

• Design and deploy ETL packages using SSIS.

• Maintain, debug, and enhance existing SSIS packages.

• Manage data workflows, error handling, logging, and automation.

SQL Automation (Auto mail / Jobs):

• Create and manage SQL Agent Jobs for automated processes.

• Implement SQL-based Auto mail solutions (sending automated emails from SQL Server).

• Monitor job performance, troubleshoot failures, and ensure reliability.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data engineers, and product owners.

• Translate business requirements into scalable BI & ETL solutions.

• Prepare documentation for BI reports, ETL processes, and data structures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics roles.

• Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, M language, modelling, visualization best practices).

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lake house, Pipelines, Dataflow).

• Expert-level SQL skills (T-SQL, query optimization, stored procedures, triggers, functions).

• Experience working with SSIS ETL tools.

• Experience with SQL Auto mail, SQL Agent Jobs, or similar automation.

• Knowledge of Azure cloud ecosystem is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Synapse.

• Knowledge of Python for analytics workloads.

• Experience with Power Automate or similar automation tools.

• Exposure to data governance, RLS, and security frameworks

Additional Information:

• This is 6 days work from office role in Hyderabad

• 2 round in the interview process (F2F Mandatory)
