One of our prestigious clients in the Wire Manufacturing / Steel Manufacturing industry is seeking highly experienced General Managers – Operations / Vice Presidents – Operations to lead and oversee large-scale manufacturing operations. The ideal candidates will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and proven experience in setting up and stabilizing manufacturing plants from the ground up.

This is a senior leadership role suited for professionals with hands-on exposure to greenfield and brownfield project execution and operational excellence.

SALARY: Negotiable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead overall operations, production, and manufacturing strategy across the organization.
• Plan and execute greenfield and brownfield manufacturing projects from concept to stabilization.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, and plant layout planning.
• Oversee plant installation, machinery setup, commissioning, and trial production.
• Ensure smooth transition to full-scale operations and production stabilization.
• Develop operational policies, systems, and KPIs to drive efficiency and quality.
• Build, lead, and mentor high-performing technical and operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and productivity enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with senior management on long-term operational and business strategy.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications will be an added advantage.
• Prior senior-level experience in Operations Management within the wire manufacturing or steel manufacturing industry.
• Proven hands-on experience in greenfield and/or brownfield project setup.
• Strong expertise in feasibility planning, site layout, plant installation, and commissioning.
• Demonstrated ability to stabilize operations and scale production effectively.
• Experience in team hiring, capability building, and leadership development.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
