Overview
The Junior Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling a modern, cloud-based intellectual property management platform designed for law firms, corporates, startups, and IP professionals to manage trademarks, patents, deadlines, and portfolios efficiently.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and articulate Junior Sales Executive to join Creative Software and support the sales growth of IP Cheetah. This is an entry-level / early-career role, ideal for recent graduates, law students, or candidates with a foundational understanding of legal, intellectual property, or compliance-related domains, who are eager to build a career in B2B software sales.
The role involves prospecting, engaging prospective businesses, maintaining CRM data, and supporting the sales pipeline from initial outreach through to demonstrations and follow-ups.
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka (On-site)
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective clients, including law firms, corporate legal teams, startups, and IP professionals
- Conduct outbound sales activities via email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and other B2B channels
- Clearly communicate the value proposition of the IP Cheetah platform to potential customers
- Schedule and coordinate product demonstrations with senior sales or product team members
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, interactions, and opportunities within the CRM system
- Support the preparation of sales proposals, presentations, and follow-up communications
- Research target markets, industries, and potential client organisations
- Assist in maintaining and improving the sales database and reporting on sales activities
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to support campaigns and lead conversion
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Law, Business, Marketing, Management, IT, or a related field
- Undergraduate law students, recent graduates, or candidates with academic exposure to intellectual property or legal studies are strongly encouraged to apply
- Basic understanding of legal processes, intellectual property, compliance, or corporate services will be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently with professionals and decision-makers
- Willingness to learn and develop a career in B2B software and solution sales
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining CRM systems and sales databases
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to grow within a structured sales environment
- Internships, part-time roles, or academic exposure to law, IP, or legal operations will be considered positively.
