Job Role:

The Vertical Solution Engineer (Transportation Industry) plays a key role in developing, localizing, and implementing ICT solutions for the transportation industries, both public and private. This role bridges technical solution design and business development, ensuring digital solutions are tailored to industry-specific needs and operational challenges.

The role is responsible for gaining insights into the market and customers of the transportation industry, formulating sales strategies for transportation solutions, identifying opportunities, supporting the local team in achieving commercial success, participating in planning and executing key industry marketing activities, and communicating with high-level customers about solution opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, optimization, and enhancement of ICT solutions for the transportation industry, ensuring they are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with client business needs.
• Translate customer requirements into comprehensive technical proposals and solution architectures.
• Collaborate with account teams to identify business opportunities and develop strategic technical proposals.
• Engage in customer interactions and marketing activities to demonstrate technical capabilities and industry expertise, acting as a trusted advisor on industrial digitalization and smart transportation solutions.
• Gather and analyze customer needs and industry trends to improve solution competitiveness, providing feedback on technical gaps, feature enhancements, and best practices.
• Work closely with product, delivery, and R&D teams, as well as external partners, to ensure successful deployment, integration, and scenario-based implementation of transportation solutions.
• Document and share successful project experiences to strengthen solution knowledge regionally, and contribute to internal training and technical enablement programs.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ICT, or related technical disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the transportation industry (e.g., ports, airports, land ports, railways, urban transportation), ideally involving digital transformation or ICT solution implementation.
• Background as a Pre-Sales professional in ICT companies or as a consultant supporting transportation ICT projects.
• Strong understanding of transportation operations, automation systems, data communication networks, and industrial ICT architecture.
• Hands-on experience with industrial ICT transport systems, including digital and intelligent infrastructures for transportation and logistics, and remote, automated management and control connecting people, vehicles, goods, yards, and stations.
• Deep knowledge of industrial digitalization trends, IT-OT integration, and multi-vendor solution ecosystems.
• Strategic thinker with a results-driven, analytical, and solution-focused mindset; able to collaborate effectively and perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Professional fluency in English, both spoken and written.
