Job Role:
The Maintenance Manager will ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of all ceramic production machinery and supporting utilities at the Gresik plant. This role requires deep technical expertise in mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting high-volume manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, Preventive Maintenance, and troubleshooting complex industrial machinery. They will also play a key role in optimizing machine performance, reducing downtime, and implementing best practices in maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all maintenance activities for production machinery, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, while ensuring effective troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and availability of critical spare parts.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans, SOPs, and reliability-focused strategies to improve machine performance, reduce breakdowns, and optimize operational costs, coordinating closely with production teams to align maintenance windows with production schedules.
- Supervise and develop maintenance engineers and technicians, ensuring continuous skill improvement and fostering a culture of proactive maintenance and continuous improvement across the team.
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards and manufacturing regulations by conducting regular inspections, audits, and preventive risk assessments to maintain a safe and well-governed operational environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in plant maintenance management or leadership roles within ceramics, tiles, or heavy manufacturing, including prior experience leading maintenance teams.
- Industry Background: Strong exposure to manufacturing environments, preferably in ceramics, tiles, or similar building materials.
- Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining industrial manufacturing machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Proficient in preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance, skilled in troubleshooting electromechanical systems, PLC/SCADA controls, kiln operations, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and using CMMS or maintenance management software. Capable of conducting root cause analysis for mechanical, electrical, and production downtime issues, and implementing strategies to optimize machine reliability and performance.
- Professional Qualities: Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, discipline, and effective decision-making skills.
- Language: Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
