Job Role:

The Plant Manager will lead the entire Gresik plant operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality, cost control, and workforce performance. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep experience in factory operations within ceramic or large-scale manufacturing environments, capable of driving discipline, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, warehouse, HSE, and workforce management, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies, efficiency targets, and production goals.
  • Oversee daily production performance, ensuring product quality, adherence to specifications, and achievement of output targets; monitor key metrics such as yield, defect rates, cycle times, and capacity utilization to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict quality control by working closely with quality teams to maintain consistency, reduce rejects, and uphold manufacturing standards.
  • Manage operational costs by controlling material usage, energy consumption, and production waste, while optimizing manpower allocation, shift scheduling, and equipment utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Uphold full compliance with HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards, and foster a strong safety culture aimed at achieving zero incidents across the plant.
  • Collaborate effectively with maintenance, supply chain, and commercial functions to sustain production readiness and address operational challenges proactively.
  • Provide clear and timely reporting to senior leadership on plant performance, risks, and corrective actions to support informed decision-making.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related).
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in factory or production management within ceramics, tiles, or heavy manufacturing, including at least 5 years managing large-scale, high-volume production lines and leading end-to-end plant operations.
  • Industry Background: Strong exposure to manufacturing, preferably within ceramics, tiles, or similar building material industries.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of the full ceramic tile production process, strong command of production planning and manufacturing KPIs (including OEE), experience with Lean/Kaizen/5S/TPM, proficiency in ERP or manufacturing software, and good knowledge of utilities management such as boiler, compressor, HVAC, and power distribution.
  • Professional Qualities: Strong leadership capability, analytical and problem-solving skills, disciplined work ethic, and effective decision-making.
  • Language: Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
