Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on regional upstream and natural gas cooperation, including market harmonization, infrastructure alignment, and shared investment frameworks across Southeast Asia, with a focus on Indonesia.
- Develop and refine regulatory and policy frameworks that support upstream modernization, decarbonization initiatives (e.g., CCUS, methane mitigation), and cross-border energy collaboration.
- Provide expert inputs on technical reports and policy briefs, particularly where Indonesian upstream and oil & gas regulatory experience informs regional approaches.
- Support capacity building for regional regulators and energy institutions, focusing on simplifying business processes, modernizing governance, and strengthening technical capabilities.
- Guide investors in early-stage feasibility, permitting readiness, and regulatory clarity for upstream, gas, and transition-aligned projects.
Key Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in energy policy, upstream oil & gas development, energy planning, or regulatory reform, preferably with deep exposure to the Indonesian context.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating policy or regulatory modernization, institutional strengthening, or inter-agency planning initiatives within Indonesia.
- Knowledge of natural gas markets, upstream development, cross-border energy cooperation, and public–private engagement in the energy transition.
- Ability to advise governments and development partners on investment frameworks, technical readiness, and cross-country harmonization.
- Comfortable working remotely across multiple countries and time zones.
