Job Role:

The Datacom Engineer (After-Sales) plays a critical role in supporting the delivery, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of data communication products for carrier, enterprise, and strategic customers.

This role ensures network stability, performs on-site or remote issue resolution, provides post-deployment technical support, and collaborates with R&D teams to resolve complex cases, while being responsible for customer communication, solution validation, and quality assurance for ongoing service projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for datacom products (switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, WLAN) and handle service tickets, support requests, and escalations.
  • Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root-cause analysis for network incidents, both on-site and remotely.
  • Support network deployment, configuration, and testing during rollout or migration projects, ensuring all configurations comply with project design, SOPs, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, acceptance tests, and performance validation.
  • Act as the bridge between customers, project teams, and technical experts, providing updates, reports, recommendations for network stability, and assisting with customer training or knowledge transfer.
  • Prepare incident reports, preventive maintenance reports, and service logs; monitor network health and SLA performance.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend systematic improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Collaborate with R&D, TAC, and product teams to resolve complex issues and provide feedback on product performance, common faults, and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of after-sales service delivery processes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in after-sales, technical support, or service engineering for enterprise ICT, particularly with data communication products and solutions.
  • Experience handling routers, switches, firewalls, and enterprise or campus networks; exposure to carrier networks, enterprise networks, or FSI/ISP is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including Routing & Switching (IGP, BGP, MPLS, SR/SRv6), L2/L3 protocols, and datacom devices from various vendors.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools, log analysis, and resolving complex network issues.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incidents simultaneously.
  • Clear communication skills, customer-oriented mindset, and professional working attitude.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site support as required.
