Specializing in mining services, it provides end-to-end operational support, from site preparation, haul road construction, and infrastructure development to full mining operations, production management, and mine rehabilitation. It is recognized for its ability to develop large-scale mining operations, particularly in greenfield projects, playing a crucial role in building early-stage infrastructure such as roads, bridges, jetties, camp facilities, and mine support systems.

Job Role:

The Mining Manager will oversee end-to-end mining activities at site, from early-stage development (greenfield) to full-scale production. This role requires a highly technical leader who can manage production targets, optimize heavy equipment utilization, coordinate with contractors, and ensure operational readiness, including infrastructure development such as haul roads, bridges, jetties, and pit openings. The ideal candidate must possess strong capability in operational planning, budgeting, equipment ratio calculations, manpower allocation, and multi-stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop medium- and long-term mining plans in coordination with engineering, pit services, and production teams, including fleet composition, equipment allocation, and productivity improvement strategies.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets, production forecasts, and cost-control initiatives, while evaluating heavy equipment ratios to ensure adequate fleet availability and optimal utilization.
  • Lead multi-department alignment for greenfield development, including infrastructure planning, pit opening, and operational readiness, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly mining progress, monitor production targets, address bottlenecks, and maintain collaboration with contractors, MDOs, suppliers, and local authorities for operational continuity.
  • Review and validate operational data, production reports, and fleet performance metrics, including road construction, drainage, land clearing, and other mine infrastructure development.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise site teams, evaluate competencies, ensure continuous technical development, and foster effective communication across operational units for alignment and problem-solving efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geological, Civil Engineering, or related fields; professional certifications (POM/POP/POU) preferred.
  • 8–10 years of mining operations experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role, including experience in greenfield projects such as haul roads, jetties, pit openings, and mine infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale mining projects with multi-disciplinary teams, including fleet productivity planning, heavy equipment calculation, operational budgeting, and cost control.
  • Strong technical expertise in mining methods, mine planning, pit sequencing, production optimization, and familiarity with mining software and operational reporting tools.
  • Knowledgeable in heavy equipment specifications, PA/UA ratios, fleet matching, fuel management, and coordination with contractors, MDOs, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, analytical, resilient, disciplined, and highly committed to operational excellence.
  • Adequate English proficiency for technical understanding and daily coordination.
