Job Role:
The Business Development Manager will lead national-level commercial growth for the company’s syrup and beverage product lines. This position focuses on expanding market penetration, strengthening distribution channels, and developing nationwide sales programs across modern trade, general trade, Horeca, and institutional buyers.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced FMCG commercial professional with a strong background in nationwide sales, distributor management, and business development. This role requires a hands-on, results-oriented leader with strong negotiation capabilities and a deep understanding of the Indonesian FMCG landscape. The position plays a critical role in driving the company’s next phase of growth while maintaining the heritage values of a multi-generation family business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement national sales strategies to increase product distribution, availability, and visibility.
- Identify new market opportunities across modern trade, general trade, HORECA, wholesalers, and regional distributors.
- Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets across Indonesia.
- Manage and expand relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key purchasing partners.
- Evaluate distributor performance, negotiate commercial terms, and optimize stock flow.
- Support distributor teams through market visits, training sessions, and joint business planning.
- Prepare annual sales plans, forecasting, pricing strategies, and promotional programs.
- Lead field execution to ensure proper product availability, correct pricing, and display standards across regions.
- Analyze competitor activities and consumer trends to support strategic brand positioning.
- Monitor sales performance, conduct data-driven reviews, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure stock readiness and customer fulfillment.
- Prepare regular management reports covering growth achievements, risks, and improvement areas.
- Work closely with the Director/Owner to translate business goals into tactical sales initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams across operations, finance, and marketing.
- Represent the company in partner negotiations, external meetings, and trade-related discussions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in FMCG sales or business development, including recent experience at a national sales manager level.
- Strong exposure to FMCG beverage categories with proven ability to manage large distributors, regional partners, and national key accounts.
- Skilled in sales strategy, negotiation, analytics, communication, presentation, relationship building, and commercial planning.
- Results-driven, proactive, resilient, and able to demonstrate strong ownership and initiative in achieving business targets.
- Possesses solid leadership presence, even when operating as an individual contributor.
- Comfortable working in a values-driven business environment with a focus on dedication, loyalty, and long-term growth.
- Possesses an adequate level of English proficiency.
