Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Insights
- Oversee and review all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with the approved month-end and year-end reporting plans.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reports on company and project profitability.
- Analyze performance trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Group CFO, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Ensure financial reporting aligns with Group standards and statutory requirements across all entities.
2. Financial Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end financial operations, including cash flow management, payment planning, and treasury functions.
- Review monthly payroll and ensure timely disbursements in coordination with HR and relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal teams, banks, and external vendors to maintain operational efficiency and proper fund management.
- Maintain strong internal controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
3. Governance, Audit & Compliance
- Lead the annual statutory audit process in coordination with auditors and ensure timely completion.
- Oversee all tax-related matters, including monthly and annual filings, by liaising with internal and external tax consultants.
- Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations across relevant jurisdictions (Sri Lanka, Singapore, Qatar, etc.).
4. Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies across finance processes and lead initiatives to streamline and automate workflows.
- Implement best practices in financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
- Support the digital transformation of finance operations by leveraging automation tools and analytics platforms.
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure finance acts as a strategic partner to business operations.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified member of a recognized accounting body (ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5+ years of total experience, including at least 2 years in a Big 4 audit firm.
- Proven experience in managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance functions within a dynamic organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent command of data analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Prior executive-level experience in SaaS or subscription-based business models, with a sound understanding of revenue recognition principles.
- Exposure to Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and related due diligence processes.
- In-depth knowledge of local and foreign taxation policies with the ability to quickly upskill on new country-specific frameworks.
- Proficiency in modern finance tools and ERP systems.
