In Indonesia, the company is expanding its after-sales service footprint to support its machines, spare parts and customer training needs, ensuring clients receive robust field support, machine uptime optimization and global-standard maintenance services.

Job Role:

The After Sales Engineer – Injection Moulding Machine will serve as the on-site technical expert for the company’s clients in the Semarang and Central Java region. This engineer will carry out machine installation, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance, customer training and field inspection of plastic injection moulding machines.

The role requires frequent travel within the region (and possible overseas training in China), strong technical skills across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to collaborate with Chinese technical teams and Indonesian clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead machine installation and commissioning for plastic injection moulding equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, corrective servicing, and machine repairs for injection moulding technologies.
• Deliver training sessions to customers on machine operation, maintenance practices and best-use strategies.
• Perform routine inspections and condition monitoring of machines in the assigned region to ensure operational performance.
• Manage spare parts handling, warranty claims, and coordinate returns to the factory when required.
• Maintain service tools and equipment, and ensure work is documented properly.
• Travel to customer locations frequently and assist in overseas training programs (e.g., China) when required.
• Complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor or service manager.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education:
  • Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
  • Candidates with SMK background may be considered with relevant machining/industrial experience).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years working in injection moulding machine maintenance/service or similar industrial mechanical/electrical/hydraulic equipment - senior candidates with more experience.
• Language: Basic to good proficiency in English (written and spoken) due to need to liaise with Chinese technical staff
• Technical Skills: Competent in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems of injection moulding machines; able to understand circuit, motor, hydraulic, and control panel issues.
• Personal Qualities: proactive, responsible and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Mobility:
  • Must be willing to travel frequently within Central Java and other project sites - residence in or around Semarang is preferred.
  • Having a valid driving licence (SIM A or SIM C).
  • Having personal vehicles is preferred.
