Role Description: As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in interpreting business requirements, simplifying them, and breaking them down into small, actionable tasks for development. Acting as a bridge between product stakeholders and the development team, you will ensure clarity in requirements, define user acceptance criteria, and chart the agile roadmap for the product.
Your active engagement with product owners or business subject matter experts (SMEs) will be crucial in translating solution needs into tangible user stories and managing the product backlog effectively. Collaboration with the Product Owner will be essential to ensure alignment with project objectives, expected outcomes, and overall business impact.
The ideal candidate will have strong business skills and a deep understanding of business domains such as fintech, education, eCommerce, Healthcare, Real-Estate, Travel. Effective communication of complex concepts and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving project success. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to issue identification and resolution are key attributes for thriving in this role.
Responsibilities:
· Manage projects effectively, including developing JIRA project roadmaps, grooming backlogs, defining user acceptance criteria, and specifying clear implementation requirements.
· Actively engage with product owners or business SMEs to translate solution needs into actionable user stories.
· Acting as a bridge between product stakeholders and the development team, you will ensure clarity in requirements, define user acceptance criteria, and define the agile roadmap for the product.
· Work closely with Product Owner to ensure all business needs are met, including project objectives, expected results, and business impact.
· Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.
· Coordinate with different departmental teams to produce better business outcomes support testing on system changes made to ensure its as per requirements provided.
· Uphold effective communication between relevant technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Years of Experience: Minimum 5+ years of Business Analyst experience is required.
Must Have Skills:
· Strong business skills and understanding of business domains such as fintech, education, eCommerce, Healthcare, Real-Estate, Travel
· Extensive knowledge and experience in Agile (Scrum), Kanban practices.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Indepth knowledge in project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Projects) and techniques including Jira Roadmap Planning.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.
· Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
· Proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues .
· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Ability performs user acceptance testing when software releases are made to UAT environments.
Nice to Have Skills:
· Hands on experience with designing mockups and prototypes using standard tools will be an added advantage.
· Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI).
Preferred Certifications:
· Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP - Certified Business Analysis Professional™) preferred.
· Certified scrum master certification
Required Attributes:
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field.
· 5+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
