Job Summary

The Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja (LPK) or Training Center, ensuring smooth daily operations, effective program management, and high-quality delivery of Japanese language and vocational training. This role also serves as the main liaison between the LPK and its Japanese partners, ensuring compliance with relevant labor and training regulations while maintaining strong operational performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all operational activities within the LPK, including program planning, staff management, and administrative operations.
  • Ensure training programs are implemented according to curriculum, quality standards, and organizational goals.
  • Maintain strong coordination and communication with Japanese partners (accepting organizations, sending organizations, or Japanese companies).
  • Ensure all processes and documentation comply with relevant labor laws and Japan–Indonesia regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and improve operational SOPs to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of teaching and administrative staff.
  • Prepare operational reports, performance analyses, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges in a proactive and strategic manner.
  • Support institutional accreditation, internal audits, and collaboration initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Japanese Studies, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in an operational management role at an LPK (preferably in Japanese training or overseas placement operations).
  • Holder of JLPT N2 or N1 certification.
  • Proven experience managing teams and overseeing organizational operations.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese trainee (Technical Intern Training / Specified Skilled Worker) systems and related administrative processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and Indonesian (spoken and written).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledgeable about Indonesian labor, training, and vocational education regulations.
