Job Role:
The Legal Manager will oversee corporate legal matters, ensuring compliance with Indonesian law and supporting business operations. The role requires strong legal expertise in the automotive and manufacturing industry, with an emphasis on contracts, licensing, compliance, and corporate governance. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required to support communication with regional/global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage corporate legal documentation, contracts, and agreements.
- Advise management on legal risks, compliance, and regulations affecting the automotive industry.
- Liaise with external counsel, government authorities, and regulatory institutions.
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor law, corporate law, and investment regulations.
- Support dispute resolution, litigation, and negotiations.
- Provide legal guidance on business partnerships, vendor contracts, and customer agreements.
- Translate and interpret key documents and communications between Chinese and Indonesian/English.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law (SH/MH)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Legal Manager or in corporate legal roles (preferably automotive/manufacturing).
- Strong understanding of corporate law, compliance, and contracts.
- Proven ability to work with regulators, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Language: English (professional business level), and Mandarin (professional business level to communicate with Direct Report and Chinese stakeholders)
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite, email, and archiving tools.
