Job Role:

This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic accountability for ensuring operational excellence, people development, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, multinational manufacturing environment.

As Manufacturing Production Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Operations and be responsible not only for daily production performance, but also for shaping long-term improvements in productivity, efficiency, and safety.

You will lead multi-shift operations, manage resources across teams, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver against production, cost, quality, and compliance objectives. Success in this role requires both strong technical grounding and the ability to lead, influence, and align teams with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & People Development
    • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing production team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Act as a role model for company values, ethics, safety, and compliance, while also providing coaching and succession planning for future leaders.
  • Operations & Performance Management
    • Oversee end-to-end production operations across multiple shifts, ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Set clear performance KPIs, monitor progress, and take corrective action to achieve operational and financial targets.
    • Partner with planning, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Process Optimization & Improvement
    • Lead site-wide continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Efficiency frameworks (e.g., ELS).
    • Identify and implement automation, standardization, and productivity solutions to improve OEE and reduce waste.
    • Champion best practices across shifts and teams, ensuring consistency and sustainability of improvements.
  • Maintenance & Asset Reliability
    • Ensure effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all production machinery.
    • Recommend cost-efficient upgrades or modifications to support productivity and quality targets.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring a hazard-free workplace.
    • Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements in all production activities.
  • Strategic Reporting & Planning
    • Analyze operational and financial data to inform long-term improvement roadmaps.
    • Provide accurate reporting to senior management on production performance, risks, and opportunities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering fields.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 7–10 years in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in production leadership roles, within multinational companies.
    • Proven success managing large-scale production teams in multinational or complex manufacturing environments, in packaging, labeling, adhesive, garment, or apparel.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver both operational excellence (OEE, yield, lead time, cost efficiency) and strategic improvements (lean transformation, automation, capability building).
  • Industry: Familiarity with labels, packaging, adhesives, or garment, or apparel manufacturing.
  • Specialization: Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Flow, and Efficiency Frameworks (e.g. ELS)
  • Language: English (professional business level - able to communicate with regional/global teams and expatriate leadership).
  • Technical Skills: Strong grounding in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, OEE, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks. Ability to connect operational performance to financial outcomes.
  • Personal Quality:
    • Track record of leading diverse teams, driving cultural change, and influencing both shop-floor operators and senior management.
    • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on leadership. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills. Proactive, resilient, and results-oriented.
