Our client is a confidential multi-entity group with operations in Bali, seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee all financial functions across four entities. This role is highly discreet, as it is a replacement search.

Job Role:

The Senior Group Finance Director will lead and oversee all finance, accounting, and tax functions across multiple entities within the group. This role is both operational and strategic, with responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, cost control, and compliance. The position requires a hands-on as well as an all-around finance leader with proven experience in managing teams and providing clear insights to shareholders, while ensuring robust governance and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Operations
  • Oversee all financial operations across the group, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting.
  • Create and manage comprehensive budgets and forecasts for development projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budget.
• Strategy & Risk Management
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth and profitability goals.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the construction phase and overall business operations.
• Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee audits, tax planning, and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, contractors, auditors, and regulators.
• Systems & Processes
  • Implement and manage financial systems and tools to improve financial tracking, reporting, and overall efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience:
  • At least 10 years of progressive, all-around, and solid financial experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior financial leadership role within the real estate development or construction industry.
  • Or working for well regarded finance & accounting firms (Big 10), with exposure in handling real estate development or construction clients.
• Language: English (strong in written and spoken for regional reporting)
• Industry Expertise: In-depth understanding of financial regulations, real estate development processes, and construction industry dynamics.
• Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth understanding of Indonesian Tax Regulations relevant to the construction and real estate sectors, ensuring compliance and strategic tax planning throughout project phases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
