Job Role
The Business Operations Lead will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and scalability in the client’s dynamic multi-finance startup environment. It is a management-level role (above supervisor/officer, below senior manager) that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. The role is not just about following processes — it is about designing, improving, and leading operational frameworks that support business growth.
As the operational backbone of the business, the Business Operations Lead will coordinate cross-functional efforts, standardize workflows, oversee promotional execution, and monitor key performance indicators. The position demands a proactive leader who can adapt quickly, solve problems effectively, and introduce improvements that deliver measurable business impact.
This role requires a strong balance between hands-on execution and strategic process design, driving daily operational performance while building frameworks that enable business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management (Leader Role)
- Act as the day-to-day leader of operations, overseeing frontline activities and ensuring coordination across product, technical, and support teams.
- Serve as the escalation point for operational challenges, providing solutions quickly and minimizing disruptions.
- Process Standardization & Efficiency (Strategic + Management Level)
- Design and implement SOPs and operational workflows (not just follow them).
- Continuously improve processes, introducing automation and efficiency measures.
- Promotional Execution (Management Level)
- Oversee and manage vendors for promotional material distribution.
- Balance cost efficiency, timelines, and quality, ensuring smooth campaign execution.
- Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement (Strategic Role)
- Track and analyze KPIs (service levels, resolution times, frontline satisfaction).
- Present findings to leadership and lead improvement initiatives with measurable impact.
- Ensure improvements align with business objectives and customer satisfaction goals.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related fields (Master’s a plus).
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in Business Operations or Operational Excellence related roles, within customer service, collections, or manpower-intensive industries, particularly within the fintech, multi-finance, or startup segments.
- At least 3 years in a strategic managerial level role, in the current and past companies.
- Candidates must have experience leading processes or small teams/projects.
- Language & Culture:
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is a must.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural startup environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Able to design and improve SOPs, not just follow them.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset.
- Professional Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate across teams (sales, product, technical, support).
- Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and act as a decision-maker when needed.
