We sell and deliver these products under traditional licensing models as well as providing them through hosted services in AWS and Azure.

We offer a new, process-based development toolset as part of our application suite. Using the Enactor Toolkit business events and actions are understood and managed as processes across the enterprise and represented visually. Our smart design tools and reusable libraries of components mean that application development becomes a drag-and-drop exercise. The combination of the Toolkit and libraries within Enactor give retailers a unique ability to react and adapt their applications in a changing and highly competitive retail landscape.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dedicated IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of our critical hybrid infrastructure, which includes on-premises systems and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in L2/L3 systems support, IT service delivery, and hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our servers, networks, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident & Service Request Management: Take ownership of the IT support ticket queue, providing advanced (L2/L3) troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve complex incidents and service requests within agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Proactive System Maintenance: Perform regular daily, weekly, and monthly health checks on all infrastructure components, including servers (virtual and physical), workstations, and network devices, to ensure optimal performance and prevent outages.
  • Data Protection & Recovery: Manage and execute our data backup strategy for both cloud and on-premises systems. Regularly test backup integrity and perform data restores to guarantee business continuity.
  • Infrastructure & Network Operations: Monitor network links and external services, proactively coordinating with ISPs and technology vendors to resolve performance issues. Maintain and secure our network infrastructure, including firewalls and switches.
  • Vendor & SLA Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure their services are delivered in line with contractual SLAs and report on vendor performance to management.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems, processes, and incident resolutions. Provide training and guidance to team members on IT security and operational best practices.
  • Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a L2 or L3 IT Infrastructure & Systems Support role.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within an IT service delivery and IT operations environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing and managing both Windows Server (including Active Directory and DNS) and Linux server environments.
  • Proven experience managing cloud infrastructures such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Sound knowledge in server virtualization technologies, specifically VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Strong experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure, including managing firewall systems and switches.
  • Possess strong knowledge in managing and testing both cloud and on-premises infrastructure backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, including containerization with Docker and automation/CI/CD with Jenkins.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision while contributing effectively to a team environment.
  • A strong customer-focused and problem-solving attitude.
  • BSc/ BA in computer science or equivalent preferred.

Added Advantage:

Knowledge of and experience with IT service management and security best practices such as ITIL, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS will be a definite advantage.
