Job Role

As the Regional Sales Manager for Perishable Goods, you will be responsible for leading our yogurt product sales team either in GT or MT sales channel, driving revenue growth, and ensuring product quality and freshness throughout the distribution process. This role requires a results-oriented leader with deep experience in yogurt product sales, inventory management, and customer relationship development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development
    • Design and implement effective sales strategies to promote and grow yogurt product sales within the Indonesian market.
  • Client & Distributor Relationship Management
    • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners to maximize sales impact and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis
    • Monitor market trends, analyze consumer behavior, and assess competitor activities to identify opportunities for product positioning and sales differentiation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with marketing and product development teams to coordinate promotional campaigns and execute successful product launches tailored to the Indonesian consumer base.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting
    • Track sales targets, measure key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to senior management on progress and results.
  • Sales Team Enablement
    • Support, train, and coach the sales team to ensure deep product knowledge, consistent sales performance, and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Regulatory & Quality Compliance
    • Stay informed of relevant food industry regulations and safety standards, ensuring all sales activities align with legal and quality requirements.
  • Channel Expansion & Market Penetration
    • Lead the expansion of yogurt products into new regions and distribution channels by leveraging consumer insights and strategic partnerships.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience:
    • At least 7 years of total working experience in Sales.
    • Including 5 years of proven sales experience in the FMCG sector, particularly in perishable goods such as dairy, yogurt, or chilled/frozen food products.
    • Prior experience in distributor management, retail channel development, or regional sales operations is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of the Indonesian FMCG landscape, including cold chain logistics, shelf-life sensitivity, and market dynamics for perishable items.
    • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory requirements in the dairy or fresh food category.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English (oral and written) to effectively communicate with both local stakeholders and international partners.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused mindset.
    • Analytical and data-driven, with the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies.
    • Effective in cross-functional collaboration and experienced in leading or coordinating with a sales team.
  • Mobility:
    • Willingness to travel within Indonesia for customer visits, distributor meetings, and market expansion initiatives.
    • Possession of a valid driving license is a plus.
