Job Role
Our client is seeking a Thailand-based Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and partner acquisition in the local Thai market. This is a market-owning role that focuses on expanding the brand’s presence through direct client acquisition and partnership development with retail traders, Introducing Brokers (IBs), and affiliates within Thailand.
This is a high-impact role suited for someone with deep knowledge of the forex trading industry in Thailand, proven acquisition skills, and the ability to build long-term partnerships. The successful candidate will play a vital role in opening new business channels, educating clients, and scaling up trading activity.
With strong performance, this role carries the opportunity to evolve into a leadership or Country Manager position, making it an ideal step for professionals ready to take ownership of a growing market and represent a globally expanding trading company on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Local Market Expansion
- Identify, approach, and acquire new retail traders, IBs, and affiliate partners in Thailand to drive account openings, trading activity, and revenue generation.
- Client Acquisition & Activation
- Develop sales funnels and lead pipelines through outreach, networking, and partnership activities, ensuring quality onboarding and activation of trading accounts.
- Relationship Management
- Build and manage strong, ongoing relationships with local IBs and affiliates. Provide regular performance support, product updates, and ensure high retention and engagement.
- Performance Ownership
- Take full responsibility for local sales KPIs, including:
- Net Margin Deposit
- Active Trading Accounts
- Trading Volume (Lots)
- Number of Active IBs/Affiliates

- Market Insights & Strategy
- Monitor the Thai forex market landscape, including competitor activities, client behavior, and regional regulation updates. Share insights to support business strategy and product alignment.
- Compliance & Ethical Sales Execution
- Ensure all activities follow internal standards and local financial regulations. Promote ethical business practices in every partnership and client engagement.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal product, marketing, and compliance teams to align local execution with broader company goals and global standards.
- Leadership Potential
- Demonstrate the ability to lead future team initiatives. Contribute to building the local BD structure, support junior hires, and prepare to transition into a Country Manager role over time.
Candidate Requirements
- Nationality: Thai.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, International Relations, or other relevant fields.
- Experience:
- Over 5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition roles.
- At least 3 years of experience in the forex, financial brokerage, or trading platform industry.
- Experience managing local Thai clients, IBs, or affiliates within the financial services space.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the Thai forex trading landscape, including common products, client behavior, and acquisition challenges.
- Familiarity with sales metrics such as net margin deposit, trading volume (lots), and active trading accounts.
- Hands-on experience with IB and affiliate networks in Thailand.
- Awareness of local financial regulations and compliance standards related to client acquisition and trading activities.
- Language Skills: business-level oral and written English - required for communication with internal global teams and reporting.
- Professional Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability, especially in emerging or developing markets.
- Comfortable working across cross-cultural, remote, and fast-paced global teams.
