Job Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and performance-driven Business Development professional to play a key role in supporting its global expansion strategy. This is a growth-track role ideal for someone with early managerial experience and strong acquisition instincts, with the potential to step into regional leadership in the near future.

The role is instrumental in driving the company’s international presence, particularly across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, through proactive account acquisition, partner engagement, and the development of cross-border IB and affiliate networks. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the forex trading ecosystem, and has a solid grasp of international sales dynamics and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive New Market Expansion
    • Identify, approach, and acquire new retail traders, Introducing Brokers (IBs), affiliates, and strategic partners across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, contributing directly to global growth targets.
  • Client Acquisition & Activation
    • Execute outreach strategies to attract and onboard high-potential clients, focusing on increasing net margin deposits, trading volume (lots), and active trading accounts.
  • Partner Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with IBs and affiliates by providing continuous support, training, and tools to drive client engagement and performance.
  • Sales Performance & Target Ownership
    • Take full responsibility for key performance indicators including:
      • Net Margin Deposit
      • Trading Volume (Lots)
      • Number of Active Accounts
      • IB/Affiliate Partner Growth
    • Monitor performance closely and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Market Development & Local Insights
    • Deliver actionable insights into the competitive landscape, user behavior, and regulatory considerations across key markets such as Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Middle East, and others.
  • Compliance-First Sales Execution
    • Ensure all acquisition activities and client interactions follow internal policies and comply with relevant local regulations — with strong emphasis on ethical and compliant practices.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration
    • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, product, compliance, and operations) to ensure effective client onboarding, support, and communications at every stage of the client journey.
  • Leadership Development & Team Formation
    • Demonstrate leadership potential with a view to build and manage a local team, including mentoring junior business developers and supporting hiring plans.
  • Reporting & Strategy Alignment
    • Regularly update internal stakeholders with business development reports, performance forecasts, and partner activity summaries to guide regional and global strategy.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, International Relations, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience:
    • Over 5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition roles.
    • At least 3 years of experience in the forex, financial brokerage, or trading platform industry.
    • Demonstrated track record of growing client bases, managing partners, and achieving performance targets.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of the forex trading ecosystem, including IB models, trading metrics (lots, margin deposits), and client onboarding.
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Southeast Asia and/or the Middle East.
    • Comfortable working in performance-driven environments with measurable KPIs.
  • Language Skills: business-level oral and written English.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability, especially in emerging or developing markets.
    • Comfortable working across cross-cultural, remote, and fast-paced global teams.
    • Strong reporting, CRM usage, and sales pipeline management experience.
  • Mobility: Based in Jakarta with flexibility to manage global accounts remotely, with opportunity to travel.
