Role Purpose: As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, corporate tax returns, and management accounts, while ensuring adherence to UK financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing exceptional quality Accounts Working Paper files on Excel.
  • Preparing FRS102(1A) statutory accounts from source records and/or Accounts Working paper files.
  • Preparing corporate tax returns.
  • Preparing complex management accounts on a quarterly and monthly basis.
  • This may involve writing up records from source data.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant UK legislation.
  • Adhering to strict deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or ideally qualified in ICAEW / ACCA.
  • Overall, 5 years of accounting experience with a minimum of 3+ years in UK accounting.
  • Hands-on 2+ years of experience in UK Corporate Tax / Personal Tax.
  • Be compliant with UK Corporate tax, VAT and PAYE law.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel with working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
  • Strong verbally and written communication skills.
  • High level of competency with Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Added advantage: Proficiency in CCH software / Taxcal Software and experience in handling management accounts within the bridging finance or lending sector.
