Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser – Be Desi & Be Dapper

Are you passionate about fashion design, fabric trends, and coordinating production from concept to rack? We’re looking for a Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser to join our creative team and drive product development for both our signature brands – Be Desi (ethnic wear) and Be Dapper (men’s fashion).

Fashion Design

• Develop seasonal collections and trend-driven designs for Be Desi & Be Dapper
• Create mood boards, color palettes, sketches, and tech packs for new styles
• Select fabrics, trims, and finishes aligned with design direction and pricing
• Work with the sampling team to bring sketches to life and ensure fit perfection
• Ensure designs match the brand’s aesthetics, quality standards, and market relevance

Merchandising & Coordination

• Plan and manage product ranges, style codes, and production timelines
• Coordinate with suppliers, tailors, and in-house production teams
• Track the progress of orders and ensure timely delivery and quality checks
• Assist in pricing decisions based on fabric cost, labor, and market trends
• Support product tagging, barcode generation, and showroom display planning

Market Research & Brand Collaboration

• Analyze customer preferences, competitor products, and emerging fashion trends
• Collaborate with the marketing and showroom teams to align product stories with promotions and social media
• Attend fashion fairs, local markets, or supplier visits as required

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Apparel Production
• 2+ years of experience in fashion design and merchandising
• Strong skills in sketching, fabric sourcing, and trend forecasting
• Knowledge of garment construction, fit standards, and pattern coordination
• Excellent coordination and communication skills
• Must be able to work under deadlines and manage multiple collections
