Primary Objective
As a Retail Pharmacist/Manager at City Pharmacy Limited, you will be responsible for providing professional pharmacy services to customers in a retail setting. Your role involves dispensing prescription medications, advising customers on over-the-counter medications, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines. You will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness within the community while delivering exceptional customer care.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Dispensing Medications: Accurately and safely dispense prescription medications to customers, ensuring compliance with dosage instructions and providing appropriate counseling.
• Customer Consultations: Offer professional advice and recommendations on over-the-counter medications, supplements, and health-related products based on individual customer needs and medical history.
• Medication Management: Review and manage medication profiles for customers to identify potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
• Health Promotion: Promote health and wellness initiatives, including vaccination programs, smoking cessation, and disease prevention.
• Medication Safety: Ensure proper storage and handling of medications and educate customers on proper medication administration.
• Patient Education: Provide comprehensive medication counseling to customers, including information on drug interactions, potential side effects, and proper usage.
• Prescription Processing: Process prescriptions accurately, verify insurance information, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers when necessary.
• Inventory Management: Monitor medication stock levels, order and restock medications, and manage pharmaceutical inventory.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines to maintain safe and legal practice.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to customers.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid pharmacist license to practice in the region/country.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) working as a licensed pharmacist in a retail setting.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of medication interactions, contraindications, and side effects.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology.
• Additional certifications in areas such as immunization administration or medication therapy management.
• Experience in conducting health screenings and wellness programs.
• Familiarity with health insurance processing and third-party billing.
