Primary Objective
To develop, plan, coordinate and control procurement, ranging, allocation, planogram, budgeting, promotional plan, merchandising for the respective category in accordance with the organizations and the Government Policies to assist in the achievement of growth and profitability of the division.

Key Resposnibilities
• Ensure correct range assortments for digital category and purchase appropriate merchandise for regular selling and seasonality.
• In-charge of purchasing and buying – source out newly launched products and process enlistment by setting up correct pricing and observe ideal GP.
• Work on after sales service strategy and setting up of service points within retail
• Allocation of new products
• Set-up min/max qty per sku per store
• Ensure achievement of sales and GP annual budget
• Ensure sales profitability of the category being managed.
• Monitor and analyze category performance on monthly basis and present the same to operations team.
• Monitor service fill-rate of all handled suppliers
• Monitor salability of all sku’s under the category to ensure achievement of required weeks supply and put proper dispositions on slow-moving items.
• Ensure availability of class A-E sku’s at any given time.
• Identify areas of growth by having exclusive lines on a per category basis. In-charge of the new product development and come up with 360-degree campaign to move-out the product.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
General skills & Qualifications and Experience:
• Tertiary qualifications with digital category management experience
• Diploma / Degree in technology would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Computer literate – MS Word, MS Excel
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Creativity and innovation are desirable
• ERP handling experience will be an added advantage
• proven experience as category manager or similar role
• Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in MS Office
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Business administration with technology study background
• Retail inventory management and buying
• Pronto usage and administration
