What You’ll Do

As an Accountant at Jumpbooks.lk, you’ll be an integral part of our finance operations, handling a wide range of accounting tasks with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our books are clean, compliant, and insightful.

This is a Hybrid role (Location: Nugegoda, Colombo. You should be able to commute reliably.)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Handle payroll processing
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements
• Assist with tax filings and regulatory compliance
• Reconcile bank accounts and payment gateways
• Support internal and external audits
• Organize and maintain financial documentation
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Execute trade and local payments, and coordinate with banks
• Contribute to pricing strategies and import/export documentation
• Handle petty cash and record keeping
• Assist at the warehouse as needed

What We’re Looking For

Education & Qualifications

• Fully or partly qualified in CA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, with a solid foundation in financial reporting and analysis

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce) and payment gateways is an added advantage
• Experience in tech-based or app-driven companies is a strong plus
