Donely is building the Jarvis for your Mac—an always-on, AI-powered desktop assistant that sees your screen, listens to you, and proactively gets tasks done. Unlike note-taking tools, Donely executes your to-dos in real time. We’re trying to turn to-do lists into done lists, leveraging screen automation, browser control, and smart ML workflows.

About Role

We’re looking for a Swift macOS Developer who can build the local Donely app from the ground up.

Required Skills

• Proven experience building native macOS apps with Swift (AppKit or SwiftUI).
• Familiarity with macOS permissions (screen recording, microphone, accessibility).
• Experience working with macOS menu bar apps and lightweight always-on interfaces.
• Strong understanding of local storage, macOS security, and event handling.
• Good knowledge of interacting with browser automation tools (like Playwright or Puppeteer) is a plus.
• Bonus: Experience working with ElectronJS, even though Swift is preferred.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with AI or agent-based tools.
• Experience building screen-sharing or recording features.
• Interest in tools like Raycast, Alfred, Rewind, or Aide.
• Comfort working in early-stage, fast-paced startup environments.
• Ability to self-manage, prototype quickly, and iterate rapidly.
