Role Description: As a Senior Quality Engineer – Odoo, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Odoo ERP solutions through effective test planning, automation, and manual testing. You will work closely with developers, functional consultants, and business analysts to validate system functionality and catch issues early in the delivery cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development and functional teams to understand business and technical requirements

• Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Odoo modules (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, etc.)

• Conduct testing for both frontend and backend Odoo features

• Validate custom modules and workflows to ensure they meet specifications

• Perform regression, integration, and system testing across Odoo versions and modules

• Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira (or similar tools), and verify fixes through re-testing

• Contribute to test automation scripts (Python or Robot Framework) for core workflows

• Test Odoo API integrations with external systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Retail Express)

• Ensure data integrity during data migration and version upgrades

• Conduct cross-browser and device compatibility testing for Odoo web views

• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

•Provide QA sign-off for features and releases based on test results and acceptance criteria

Years of Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience is required.

Education Qualifications: Individual should possess a bachelor's degree in computing, Information Technology, or other relevant field (physical science, mathematics)

Must Have Skills:

• Experience in manual testing and quality assurance.

• Familiarity with Odoo ERP and retail franchise environments. 2+ years

• Software testing & quality engineering process experience: 2+ years

o Test planning

o Test design

o Test execution

o Reporting •

Sound Knowledge of compatibility testing: 1 year

•Experience with Agile Software Development

• Test case management tools and defect management tools

Nice to Have Skills:

• Test automation scripting knowledge with JavaScript

• Behavioral Driven Development (BDD)
