Role Purpose:
The Finance Associate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and finance operations in accordance with company policies. This role involves general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, reporting and compliance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records and reports in line with AASB
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
- Ensure compliance with GST, BAS, payroll tax and other regulatory requirements
- Support audit processes and provide documentation as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial data flow
- Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role (internship experience can be considered)
- Understanding of Australian accounting principles and taxation rules
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP)
- Excellet attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
