Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Business Development Executive to support growth and project execution within Indonesia’s dynamic shipping and logistics landscape. Candidates with a background in barge business or bulk commodity logistics (nickel ore, coal, aluminum, etc.) are strongly encouraged to apply. Mandarin fluency is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently or collaboratively support the Manager in executing specific business projects, identifying customer needs, and discovering new growth opportunities.
- Assist in implementing strategic business plans, aligning with the company's vision and client requirements.
- Oversee and maintain project documentation, internal data, and customer files; provide regular business reports.
- Meet with potential clients to understand their operations and propose tailored logistics and shipping solutions.
- Review client contracts to ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and draft professional correspondence, including proposals, letters, and emails to customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in barge logistics, with existing customer connections in nickel ore, coal, aluminum ore, or other commodities.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or English (both written and spoken); Mandarin preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel for business development and project coordination.
