Job Title: Associate Software Engineer – Web Development

Location: Hybrid / Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Software Engineer – Web Development with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, JavaScript, and WordPress/WooCommerce, with a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, and JavaScript.

·Customize and support WordPress and WooCommerce sites, including themes and minor plugin enhancements.

·Implement responsive frontends using Bootstrap, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.

·Integrate RESTful APIs and assist in third-party service integrations.

·Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following best practices.

·Use Git for version control and contribute to collaborative development workflows.

·Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure visually consistent and usable interfaces.

·Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint tasks and documentation.

·Stay up to date with emerging web technologies and best practices and actively contribute to technical improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

·1–2 years of hands-on experience in PHP web development.

·Proficiency in PHP (OOP) and Laravel or CodeIgniter framework usage.

·Familiarity with WordPress & WooCommerce – theme customization and usage.

·Good understanding of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.

·Experience with MySQL – basic CRUD operations, joins, and query structuring.

·Exposure to REST APIs and JSON-based integration.

·Basic experience with Git and collaborative workflows.

Nice to Have:

·Understanding of WooCommerce plugin hooks and filters.

·Familiarity with Firebase Authentication or basic cloud hosting concepts.

·Exposure to payment gateways and deployment tools (e.g., cPanel, FTP, or Git-based deploy).

·Awareness of SEO basics and web performance optimization.

Education:

·Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
