The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records for our US operations while also overseeing payroll management for our Sri Lankan employees.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes across different regions.

Position Overview:
This role requires a thorough understanding of both US accounting practices and Sri Lankan payroll regulations.
Job role:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Develop and implement financial accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to support business planning and decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage and execute financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
- Oversee and manage the payroll process for employees in Sri Lanka, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related statutory filings and payments in Sri Lanka, such as EPF (Employees' Provident Fund), ETF (Employees' Trust Fund), and PAYE (Pay As You Earn) tax.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or Part Qualification in CA, ACCA
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a senior finance role
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Proven track record of successful financial management and strategic planning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
