Role Description : This is a vital role that requires quality engineering and technical capabilities. The role has direct client exposure in delivering software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build competencies in the product and technology domain to meet specified standards
  • Understand the Requirements (Business & Technical) and prepare test plans to achieve optimum testability
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Contribute to product design and engineering, to ensure that products are designed and developed with quality in mind
  • Leading a team of quality assurance professionals to ensure that products and services meet or exceed customer and industry quality standards.
  • Contribute test planning, test design, test execution to ensure quality throughout the entire product life cycle with minimal or no supervision
  • On a regular basis, ability to review testing plans and test cases to provide guidance for continuous improvement
  • Focused on delivering quality software products with better end-user experience
  • Identify opportunity for test automation and create automation test scripts to accelerate testing cycles with minimal or no supervision
  • Follows the Swivel or Project processes, agile practices and motivates his/her team members to do so.
  • Provides realistic and accurate estimates and achieve on-time Delivery.
  • Prioritize activities based on current business objectives
  • Ensures that artifacts produced are of the highest quality, conforming to set or agreed upon standards. Should advocate such consistency to all members of the team.
  • Adhere to Swivel values and ethical practices.
  • Makes optimum utilization of engineering tools and technologies to maintain a high productivity level in the team.
  • Mentor and train Quality Engineers to uplift their skills
  • Contribute organization growth by recommending good talent and conducting interviews
  • Maintain an individualistic approach to thinking and decision-making.
  • Should process the drive to learn and continuously on work performance
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Coordinate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, gathering requirements and resolving issues.

Years of Experience: Minimum of 6 years of Quality Engineering experience is required. Minimum 2+ years of experience in leading teams is required.

Must Have Skills:

  • Software testing & quality engineering process experience: 5+ years
  • Mobile application testing and awareness of mobile applications app submission process
  • Experience with API testing
  • Sound Knowledge of compatibility testing: 4+ years
  • Experience in production release planning
  • Experience in Agile Software Development
  • Test case management tools and defect management tools
  • SCM tools and CI/CD tools

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Test automation scripting knowledge with JavaScript
  • Behavioral Driven Development (BDD)
  • Mobile application testing and awareness of mobile applications app submission process
  • Hands on experience in performance testing
  • Hands on experience in security testing

Open to Upskill:

  • Candidate should be open to upskill and move to emerging technologies and trends in quality engineering and test automation.
  • Non – functional testing

Qualifications: Individual should possess a bachelor's degree in computing, Information Technology, or other relevant field (physical science, mathematics)

Preferred Certifications:

ISTQB – Certified Foundation Level

ISTQB -Agile Tester

ISTQB Advanced Level - Test Manager

CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
